Major Coffee Magazine had the pleasure of asking some stylish men about their first dates and what do they love about women.


First up is Doyin "Doc " Adewole who is a Published International Model Content Creator and Style Curator. Second, is Wardrobe Stylist and Creative Director Marv Neal.





When was the first time you said “I love you” to someone in your life other than family?

The first time I recall telling someone that I loved them was to my auntie Lydia. She’s more of my moms best friend, but was around during our adolescence and became closer than family. We stay in touch to this day, truly an extraordinary woman.

When and where did you go on your first date ever?

My first date ever was to the fair in high school. It was an annual event and broke up the monotony of options available in the inner city. I remember having an absolute blast!

Do you remember your first date?

I vividly remember our 1st date as it transpired on my birthday. She asked me out and it was incredibly memorative. The pictures we took that day confirm this.

Were you nervous during your first kiss?

I was not nervous during the 1st loss as I realize the power of these lips! Plus she was giving all the right signs all night long.

What is your ideal night?

My ideal night is a productive one, filled with signed contracts, paid invoices, soul music playing in the background and good company.

What is your favorite thing about a woman?

My favorite thing about a Black woman is her compassion.

Do you believe in true love or love at first sight?

I don’t believe in love at first sight but I truly believe in lust at first sight. Eye contract is a dangerous thing.

Do you think people are made for each other?

I believe that people can certainly compliment one another but I don’t think that one person is made for the other.....? love does not delight in ownership.

Where is the perfect honeymoon locale?

The perfect honeymoon location would be Jamaica or The Kenyan Manor.

Describe a fun date that only costs $20.

Describe the most romantic date you can think of — spare no expense!

The most romantic date would be the last large one i through. Surprise date going to ride horses, followed by breakfast at her fav restaurant, rented a Range Rover for the day + driver. Booked the executive suite at the Intercontinental hotel for the surprise party with 20 of her close friends. Hired a private vegan chef, cake, flowers, bubbly champagne and a full masseuse. It was epic.

If you were on a dating game show, what questions would you ask?

I would ask questions about if a person understood emotional maturity and if they thought therapy was a good idea or not. I would also ask “what would your ex say about you to the next person?”

Would you rather a night in a fancy penthouse suite or a private beach house

If I had the option I would prefer a fancy penthouse.

Do you remember our first date?

We were drinking and talking about how we lived down the street from each other and never paid each other no mind.


Were you nervous during our first kiss?

My first kiss, no I wasn't nervous


What is your ideal night?

I love food and conversation


What is your favorite thing about a woman?

Her sense of humor


Do you believe in true love or love at first sight?

I believe in loving what you see


Do you think people are made for each other?

Yea in some instances souls connect because they are familiar


Where is the perfect honeymoon locale?

It has to be city and relaxation so to me like Miami/Islands don't excite me, but I need it to be live action .

Kinda hard with Covid, but pizza a 2 dollar bottle of wine and Netflix


Describe the most romantic date you can think of — spare no expense!

What I think is romantic is Christmas in NYC and all the shopping she could take something out of "Sex In The City"
